Toronto Raptors: Kyle Lowry to miss time with thump injury

Toronto Raptors veteran star Kyle Lowry is expected to miss the next few games with a sprained left thumb. Raptors’ head coach Nick Nurse said that Lowry is out at least for the next two games.

The Raptors are expected to go big with Lowry out, as Norman Powell will play as shooting guard alongside Fred VanFleet. Aaron Baynes is also expected to start.

Nurse implied that Lowry could miss more than two games as the Raptors are facing the Milwaukee Bucks as the first part of back-to-back games.

Nick Nurse squad will play against Minnesota Friday, while they set to face the Philadelphia 76ers in an important three-game span for Toronto.

The organization called up Malachi Flynn from the G League bubble in Orlando to add more depth in the guard rotation. Flynn was impressive in Florida, however it’s highly unlikely to receive serious minutes.
