Sacramento Kings officially parted ways with veteran forward Glenn Robinson III. The Kings waived the small forward on Wednesday, the team announced, the day his contract would become guaranteed for the season.
In 23 games with the Kings this season, Robinson could not find a steady role for his team averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 16 minutes per game.
With DeQuan Jeffries returning from injury and rookie Robert Woodward making impressive performances in the G League bubble, Robinson became expendable.
Sacramento was the seventh stop in seven seasons in the NBA for Robinson. He played for the Warriors and the Sixers last season.
He’ll probably attract interest from playoff teams this season shooting 36.4 percent from 3-point range and 42.4 percent from the field during his time in Sacramento.
