Philadelphia 76ers: Shake Milton won’t play for Sixers for the rest of road trip

The Philadelphia 76ers are not ready to give a timetable for Shake Milton, who remains out with a left ankle sprain. According to head coach Doc Rivers, Milton won’t play in the rest of the team’s Western Conference trip.

The Sixers’ scoring guard suffered the injury towards the end of the game against the Kings, and he missed the Thursday’s matchup vs. the Blazers.

He will miss Saturday’s game vs. Phoenix as well as the conclusion of the trip on Monday against the red-hot Utah Jazz. The Sixers will rely mostly on rookie Tyrese Maxey to lead the bench unit.

The Sixers remain the team with the best record in the East despite losing to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday’s matchup.

However, Doc Rivers will need to find the right combination between the bench and the starters for his team to remain at the top of the conference.
