LeBron James is expected to sit out Wednesday’s matchup vs. the Sacramento Kings. The Lakers’ superstar will be out for load management reasons.
James is listed as questionable for several games and did not make the trip to Sacramento for the second part of back-to-back games.
The four-times Finals MVP stayed in LA to receive treatment. According to Shams Charania, his absence will not impact his All-Star Game appearance Sunday in Atlanta.
James was among the players, who were skeptical about the All-Star Game festivities this season amidst a global pandemic.
The Lakers and the Heat were the teams that fought until mid-October last season as the NBA finalists, so an extra five days of rest would have been perfect for them, especially for players such as LeBron.
