Chicago Bulls: Lauri Markkanen unlikely to return before All-Star break

Chicago Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen is not expected to return to action before the All-Star Break, according to head coach Billy Donovan.

Markkanen suffered a right shoulder injury vs. the Orlando Magic on Feb.5. The promising forward has been great for the Bulls this season averaging 19.1 points on 51-percent from the field and nearly 40-percent from deep.

Despite the Bulls are having a great run since ruling out Markkanen mainly because Zach LaVine went off to lead his team in the play-in spots.

With Markkanen possibly being out for the rest of the first part of the season, expect Thaddeus Young to continue getting a hug bulk of minutes.

Also, rookie Patrick Williams could continue get benefitted by receiving minutes in both forward positions. The Bulls have the chance to get closer to 50-percent in the standings (14-16) playing against the Timberwolves Wednesday.
