The Charlotte Hornets will face the San Antonio Spurs Sunday without their top scorer. Gordon Hayward is going to miss the Sunday’s contest due to lower back discomfort.
At the top of that, Caleb and Cody Martin as well as PJ Washington remain out due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, so the Hornets may be a little thin in forward position.
Hayward is having a great season so far scoring 22.3 points on 48.2-percent from the field and 42.2-percent from deep. He also averages 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists through 26 games this season.
Miles Bridges is expected to receive an uptick in minutes, while Malik Monk will also share some of them in the course of the game.
