Brooklyn Nets: Kevin Durant to miss game against Sixers Saturday

After a really confusing sequence of events, where Kevin Durant remained in the bench for the start of the Nets-Raptors game Friday, before got pulled off due to health and safety protocols, the team announced the 2-time champion will be out for an uncertain amount of time.

As a result, Durant is out of Saturday’s prime time matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, who have the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Durant was in contact with someone on Friday who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. KD himself has tested negative multiple times in the past day, but he could still miss more time due to the league’s contact-tracing protocols.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, “The NBA will start to do the work on how much time and in what proximity Durant was to the associate who tested positive for the coronavirus.
